Bauhaus
The Bauhaus it’s was the first school of the craft, design
and architecture, founded in 1919 by Walter Gropius in Weimar and close by the
prusian army in the second war world.
In the moment of his fundation the objetibs of the school,
caracterized by gropius in a manifest were “ The recovery of crafts methods in the
constructive activity, to elevate the crafts manship to the same level as the
Fine Arts and to try to commercialize the products that, integrated in the
industrial production, would become objects of affordable consumption for the
general public”
Its posible separete his History in 3 periods.
The first Period is the formation of the school, his first
stage culminates with the imminent necessity of the change of the seat of the
school propitiated by the great depression.
In the second period date some of the most important
theoretical writings of the Bauhaus in the field of painting.
In the thirst period in 1933 the Nazi party decided to close
the school so Ludwig Mies van der Rohe moved the Bauhaus to Berlin with funds
gained from the illegality of closing contracts. The school, located this time
in an old telephone building, would survive only until April of that same year.
