Lucky Man

Today I speak about how was my year 2018, it was a interesting year, in my vacation I work as a cashier in a supermarket (Mayorista 10) to raise money, and buy me a new computer, that is useful to use in my career, and also raise money to go on a trip. With my school classmates we went to the beach for a weekend, and with my university classmates we went to the beach of Quinteros for a week, before they knew all the environmental problems they had, although at first glance you could see that the sea was not in good condition. Also for a week I went to visit my cousin and her family, who lives in Monte Aguila, near to Los Angeles, I hadn’t seen her for 5 years, because she had moved from his house in Santiago, we went a Salto del Laja it’s a waterfall, it’s a fantastic place. This year at the university, I had a good time, I’ve met a new people, and academically I’ve done well. My mom was sick, but now she got better and now as a family we are well. Peter Calthrope talks about urban problems in the city, what happened in the world, and the incredible population growth has caused different problems in the cities, for example, the constructions of gigantic buildings, which cause congestion and lack of equipment for the great amount of people. lives in a small area, also the cities become little passable and the green areas become smaller and smaller.  This is the problem of the previous results. Santiago is going through the same process, although we have large areas of green areas such as O'Higgins park or Santa Lucia hill or San Cristóbal, the density that Santiago is suffering is incomparable.  Life and the relationship that takes place in a small-scale neighborhood is disappearing, we become more and more individualistic and less dependent on the rest.  The intention of the construction in height isn’t bad, it’s about solving the problem of exposing the city and the transformation into something unreliable,

Today I´m going to speak about what postgraduate I would like take in the future. The more possible is that I study a postgraduate someday, maybe immediately left the university or maybe a few years later, but I will definitely do it.   It´s completely necessary take a postgraduate to perfect your knowledge, and climbing higher in the jobs. I would like study urbanism, because I really I like it, create big projects, in a high level, always thinking big.   Ideally in another country for example Spain or Argentina due to language, also due to know another custom, and perspective of the architecture. Barcelona and Buenos Aires they are good examples of planned cities, cities that were really though to work correctly. they are cities that seen from above work, but maybe in the practice they really aren´t that functional. Since I'm 14 years old, I want to study architecture, after understanding my taste and preference for doing work and drawings in my time at school insteadod of studying, I understood that anything else would be a career for me it was a torture. I am a determined person who sets goals and fulfills them, maybe I wasn't so aware of what it meant to be an architect when I joined, but after getting to know architecture, I decided to be an urbanist, in the first year of my career, I understood that urban planning is the path I want to follow I chose the University of Chile for its recognition both nationally and continentally, in terms of architecture, as well as being a university of excellence. The approach and the way of teaching that the university has enchanted me, the architects of the U. of Chile, we are qualified to be complete architects that we design and create spaces to be used by all, understanding  their environment and for whom it is directed.

In the near future I imagine working in a municipality, as an urban planner, in charge of supervising and directing  commune projects , but I don’t intend to dedicate myself to do the same forever , I would like to have different types of jobs for periods, besides  my own projects, I would also like to have my own architecture office and participate for grants, to design  big projects such as the Valparaiso port, or some design of roads and  housing complexes. also, on my own I would like to dedicate myself to sale and purchase of properties, learn about the real estate business; that according to my expectations will grow more in the near future. I would like to travel in my work to learn other realities and have new experiences. In my future job, I don't expect to earn much money as it is quite difficult, but any  money that I earn, I will invest in personal businesses such as housing, and a pastry shop.
